Email Safe Sender Guide
As you are beginning to communicate with your agent we want to ensure that all emails are making it to you! We’ve done our best to to make sure that everything is running smoothly on our end but sometimes your email provider may read our messages as spam or junk mail so here’s a quick guide to adding your agents email address to a safe sender and/or contacts list so that you receive every message they send you!
In Outlook or Hotmail:
You can either add your agents email address to a designated safe sender list or add them as a contact - we suggest doing both!
Adding to a safe sender list:
In your “Settings” select “Mail” and then select “Junk email”
Select “Safe senders and domains”
Click “+ Add” and input your agents email address
Click “Save” at the bottom of the window.
Adding to your contact list:
In the left hand corner of your inbox screen select the applications icon (9 small dots) and select “People”
Click “New Contact” in the right hand side corner of the screen and select “New Contact” from the drop down menu
Fill in your agents name and click “+ Add more” to select “Email address”
Fill in your agents email address and click “Create” to save your contact
In Gmail:
While Gmail doesn’t have a designated safe sender list you can add a contact as well as create a filter to prevent certain addresses from going to your spam folder.
Adding to your contact list:
In the right hand corner of the Gmail screen select the applications icon (9 small dots) and select “Contacts”
Click “Create contact” in the right hand corner and select “Create a contact”
Fill in your agents name and email address and select “Save” to save your contact.
Creating a filter:
Select “Settings” from your Gmail screen (gear symbol in the left hand corner) and click “See all settings”
From the menu across the top of the screen just under the search bar select “Filters and Blocked Addresses”
Click “Create a new filter” and type in your agents email on the line reading “From”
Click “Create filter”
Check the box “Never send it to Spam” and click “Create filter”
In Yahoo:
In your Yahoo email account you can add your agents email to your contact list to ensure you don’t miss a message!
Adding to your contact list:
From your inbox select the “Contacts” icon in the top left corner of your screen.
Select “Add a new contact” from the bottom of your contact list
Fill in your agents name and email address and click “Save”
