Our Magical Stay at The Disneyland Hotel: A Family Adventure in the Heart of Disney Magic
Written By Cheyenne Broyles
On our most recent trip to The Happiest Place on Earth, my family & I had the opportunity to stay at The Disneyland Hotel for the first time & it was truly a magical experience! (to say the least)
Let's set the scene: January had arrived, and our family was positively brimming with excitement as we anticipated our upcoming Disneyland adventure. But this time, we decided to take our Disney experience to new heights by immersing ourselves fully in the magic and splendor of The Disneyland Hotel. And let me tell you, it was a decision that would prove to be the highlight of our trip from the very start. We previously have stayed at The Grand Californian Hotel plus a handful of Good Neighbor Hotels and have loved them all. But this stay was extra special as it was my son's first trip to Disney!
Our home away from home for the duration of our stay? A spacious one-bedroom family suite at The Disneyland Hotel in the Frontier Tower! And let me tell you, stepping into that suite felt like stepping into a fairy tale come to life. The sheer size of the room was jaw-dropping – with separate living and bedroom spaces, it was like having our very own enchanted kingdom right at our fingertips. And let's talk about convenience – traveling with a little one-year-old can be an adventure in itself, but this room made it an absolute breeze. We could tuck our tiny explorer into bed and still enjoy some much-needed downtime without worrying about disturbing his slumber. And as if that weren't enough, the hotel even provided us with a cozy travel crib delivered straight to our room – talk about going above and beyond to ensure a magical stay!
But the enchantment didn't stop there – oh no, The Disneyland Hotel had plenty more in store to dazzle and delight us at every turn. From the moment we set foot on the sprawling grounds of the resort, we were captivated by its beauty and charm. And the best part? Its prime location within walking distance of the parks and the bustling downtown Disney area meant that we could easily hop, skip, and jump our way to all the magic Disneyland had to offer – a major win for tired little feet and exhausted parents alike!
But perhaps the crowning jewel of The Disneyland Hotel was its spectacular pool area. Complete with 2 monorail-themed water slide and sparkling waters as far as the eye could see, it was a paradise of aquatic adventures just waiting to be explored.
And let's not forget about the dining options – because when you're in the land of Mickey, you want your meals to be just as magical as the experiences themselves! Tangaroa Terrace quickly became our go-to spot, with its mouthwatering menu offerings and convenient mobile order capability making mealtime a breeze. The resort also offers Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, Goofy’s Kitchen and more! A hidden gem for us was the resort coffee shop! So yummy!
But hold onto your mouse ears, because the magic doesn't end there! The Disneyland Hotel recently unveiled The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and let me tell you, they're a game-changer in every sense of the word. With brand new tours of DVC villas and studios, their own pool, and a host of additional amenities, it's like stepping into a whole new world of Disney magic.
So, what's the verdict? Well, let's just say that The Disneyland Hotel exceeded every expectation and then some. From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly said our goodbyes, it was a whirlwind of enchantment and excitement that left us longing for more. The Disneyland Hotel isn't just a place to stay – it's a gateway to a world of wonder and adventure, where dreams really do come true.
So, if you're planning your next Disney escapade, do yourself a favor and make The Disneyland Hotel your home base. Trust me, you won't regret it. Here's to making memories that'll last a lifetime – Disney style!
You could say Cheyenne has loved Disney her entire life... literally! She made her first trip to the Disney parks when she was only an infant (with her parents of course) and her love for all things Disney has only grown ever since. She visited the Disneyland Resort once a year throughout her entire childhood, even after her family moved to Idaho (hello 14 hour road trips!) She always knew that Disney would be a huge part of her life and was ecstatic to become a Disney travel agent in 2017. She loves creating magic for all of her clients by helping them plan their dream vacations. Cheyenne still lives in Idaho, now with a husband and two black Labradors added to the gang. She visits the parks as much as she can to enjoy both the nostalgia and all the new magical experiences that only Disney can offer!
