Top Five Things To Remember For A Disney Park Day
Originally posted April 22, 2022
We asked our followers on Instagram what items were a must pack for a Disney park day and we got a TON of great answers! But there were a few items that came up again and again! So here are the top FIVE things to remember to pack for a Disney park day as voted by you! Read on to learn more!
WATER BOTTLE!
This one is an absolute must! While you do have the option to purchase bottled water in the parks or even ask for a cup of water at a quick service restaurant it is nice to have your own water bottle on hand! There are water fountains and bottle refilling stations throughout the parks for you to utilize to stay hydrated! While oversized hydro flask style water bottles (the big 32 and 40 ounce guys!) are very popular right now we may not suggest such a large and heavy bottle for a Disney park day! Something lightweight with a good seal that won’t leak in your backpack would be a good option!
SUNSCREEN!
We agree wholeheartedly! You will get a TON of sun in a Disney park day and you don’t want to get burned! Having a non-greasy, lightweight sunscreen you can easily re-apply to both your kiddos and yourself throughout the day is important! Don’t forget to apply to the back of your neck as well! The pain you’ll feel if you get a burn and then try to wear your pin lanyard…ooooh boy! Ouch!
PORTABLE CHARGER!
This is a must especially if you are someone who takes a lot of photos! That combined with the use of your My Disney Experience app within the parks means that your battery could drain quicker than anticipated! A portable charger that allows you to charge your phone on the go without having to return to your hotel room or find an outlet is incredibly handy! In the event that you forget your portable charger you can purchase them at various locations throughout both Disneyland and Walt Disney World! COMFY SHOES!
You wil do A LOOOOOT of walking on a Disney park day! So while you may be tempted to pull out some cute flats or sandals our suggestion is to make sure you’ve got comfortable tennis shoes or sneakers that you can wear all day that offer good support and are light weight! (Do you see a theme here? In Florida or California we love things that are light weight!) Your feet are going to thank you at the end of the day when you finally take off your shoes! (In the event that you still find yourself with a blister - having some bandaids or moleskin on hand is helpful too!)
HAND SANITIZER/WET WIPES!
Even pre-pandemic times we would suggest bringing hand sanitizer AND wet wipes! It’s always nice to have sanitizer on hand in a place that sees so many people pass through it. There are a lot of hand rails, ride car handles and other surfaces that are high traffic areas in a Disney park! We also do suggest wet wipes or baby wipes for sticky hands throughout the day as well! Churros, ice cream, Dole whips…there’s a medley of delicious treats that may leave behind a sticky residue! We say its always a good idea to have a wet wipe on hand (even if you don’t have kiddos with you!) If you did forget to pack a bottle of hand sanitizer there are some stations throughout the parks for you to use! Click the links below to see a list and map of station locations!
