Traveling Epcot’s World Showcase with a Preschooler

By Kayla Robinson

Are you ready to travel the world via Epcot’s World Showcase, but worried that there might not be enough to entertain your preschooler? I’ve got you covered! From rides and attractions to hidden gems, let’s explore why Epcot’s World Showcase has quickly become a favorite for our preschooler!

 Kidcot Fun Stops

Say hello to Anna and Elsa on Frozen Ever After!

Did you know that there is a Kidcot Fun Stop in every international pavilion in Epcot? That’s right! This is a special place in each pavilion where your little ones can participate in a fun discovery experience where they collect activity cards from each country throughout World Showcase.

Each of these cards has information about the country and they can use coloring utensils at each station to color in the backside of the card. Once your little one collects their final card, a Cast Member will get you a special completion card!

Rides & Attractions

The World Showcase also has three amazing rides that all ages and any height can ride!

Frozen Ever After – Norway Pavilion

On this dark ride you’ll board your very own boat and journey through the story of Frozen. This is a slow-moving boat ride with backward and forward plunges down short waterfalls.

We LOVE the details in Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!

Pro Tip: Bring a rain jacket or poncho to wear or at least sit on because you may get wet!

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – Mexico Pavilion

You’ll cruise down the Rio Grande in your very own boat to help 2 of the caballeros from the musical trio in their search for Donald Duck! This is a slow moving-moving dark boat ride where you’ll ride past some of the most famous sights and cities in Mexico!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – France Pavilion

In the 4D ride you’ll join Chef Remy on an adventure through the kitchen, dining room and walls of Gusteau’s.

Pro Tip: If you or your little one(s) are prone to motion sickness, try riding without the 3D glasses or take some nausea medicine in advance!

Character Meet & Greets:

Epcot’s World Showcase is one of the most underrated places in Walt Disney World to meet characters. From classic favorites like Alice in Wonderland and Winnie the Pooh, to various princesses in their respective countries, and even Stitch, you really can enjoy meeting some of Disney’s most famous characters while traveling through the World Showcase!

Pro Tip: Utilize the My Disney Experience App to find out when characters are meeting!

  • At the bottom of the home screen, select the map icon.

  • From the top of the screen, select “Filter” and then select “Apply”.

  • Then select “Wait Times” and choose “Characters” from the drop-down menu.

  • Then select “Show List”!

There really is something for everyone in Epcot’s World Showcase – especially your preschooler! I hope this guide will bring a little extra magic to your day in Epcot. Let the exploration begin!
