A Mom's Guide to Disney's Adventureland

By Kayla Robinson

Embark on a magical journey with your little ones as we delve into the world of Adventureland in Walt Disney World! With this guide, your little explorer will have an unforgettable adventure!

Rides & Attractions:

Pirates of the Caribbean:

There's nothing like sailing the high seas! Your little navigator will love climbing aboard their very own boat to explore the world of Captain Jack Sparrow! This immersive dark ride features a few small drops, and the lively atmosphere of ransacked Caribbean seaport towns. Singing along to the pirate's anthem "Yo Ho, Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me)!" is sure to be a highlight of your voyage!

Pro Tip: Adventureland is not a part of early entry, so if you head straight to this ride at park open, you'll get to start your journey without having to wait in line!

Enchanted Tiki Room:

Your little explorer will love this tropical paradise filled with audio-animatronic colorful birds and catchy tunes! This attraction originally debuted in Disneyland Park in 1963 and has been a fan-favorite for many generations.

Pro Tip: Head to this attraction when you need a break from the heat! The 15-minute show will give you and your little one the perfect break in the A/C!

Jungle Cruise:

Embark on an adventure with your trusty skipper guide whose witty jokes are sure to please everyone in the family! You'll be able to spot all sorts of wildlife along this river journey of the Amazon. And you never know . . . you may even see the 8th wonder of the world!

Pro Tip: Try and sit on the outer edge of the boat to give your little explorer a better view!

Fueling the Adventure:

You'll want to be sure to keep your navigator's energy up for all of their adventures. Here are a few of my favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in Adventureland!

Sunshine Tree Terrace:

From the famous DOLE Whip to Coca-Cola Floats, Sunshine Tree Terrace is a wonderful place to grab a bite and refuel along your journey.

Pro Tip: Parents - be sure to grab a Shakin' Jamaican Cold Brew. Let's be honest - you'll need the energy too! Haha

Tortuga Tavern:

If your family needs a little bit more than a snack, be sure to check out Tortuga Tavern for lunch or dinner! The orange chicken strips are our go-to favorite, as well as the peanut butter, chocolate-hazelnut spread, and banana sandwich.

Spring Roll Cart:

Just before you enter Adventureland, you'll stumble upon the Spring Roll Cart! This cart serves the most delicious cheeseburger spring rolls and pepperoni pizza rolls. They are famous for a reason and are sure to please everyone in your family!

Pro Tip: Grab a seat on the hub grass in front of Cinderella's Castle and have a picnic!

Navigating Adventureland with little ones is a journey filled with excitement, laughter, and magical memories. So, don your explorer hats, and let the adventure begin!
